Jack
Plotnick is currently appearing on television as a series regular on the highly acclaimed
FOX show
Action. He can also be seen on Showtime's
Rude Awakenings. Past
regular appearances included
Ellen as "Barrett," MTV's
The Jenny
McCarthy Show, and on WB's
Buffy The Vampire Slayer. In
Gods and
Monsters he plays "Edmund Kay," a student journalist who seeks out the
retired director James Whale (Ian McKellen) for an "interview." Jack's other
films include
Mystery Men,
Ground Control, Chairman of the Board for
Trimark, and
Tiara Tango.
Trained in Drama at Carnegie Mellon University, Jack also studied with Mel Shapiro and
Marshall Mason.
Jack is currently appearing in the sketch show "Plotnick & Rudetsky" at
Caroline's Comedy Club in Manhattan. He has appeared on Broadway in "Shiek of Avenue
B," and off-Broadway in "The News in Revue," "Pageant," and
"Class Clown."
Other television work includes guest appearances on Seinfeld, Caroline in the City,
Murphy Brown, The Wayans Brothers, and Late Night with Conan O'Brien.
